A full-time job. A tiny kitchen. A husband getting his PhD. What's a girl to do?

Let's get one thing straight: I am not a chef. Like so many other people, I just want to make sure that a half-way decent dinner makes it onto the table at a reasonable time, and if along the way I happen to stumble upon a delicious recipe that makes my husband think I am a culinary genius, well, all the better for me.

I love cooking, and I love eating, so I spend a lot of time thinking about food. This blog is the story of that love.

When I first got married, my idea of a tasty home-cooked meal was mac and cheese from a box, but as the years have gone on, and as I have stocked my kitchen with gadgets and cookbooks, I have developed a real fascination with the art of cooking. Because of my busy schedule, I want to make quick and simple food that isn't boring. Sometimes it works out, and sometimes it doesn't, but I keep trying.

I want to share my kitchen and my story with you.
